A home inspection, is a 2 to 3 hour inspection of the home’s various systems, including interior and exterior components.
A home inspector will look at a house’s HVAC system, interior plumbing and electrical systems, roofing, flashing, gutters, chimney, attic, floors, windows and doors, foundation and grading, basement and structural components; and then provide a written report with results.
There are usually going to be minor fixes, however sometimes the inspector will find major ones as well. Hopefully, you have included clauses in your agreement of purchase and sale making the purchase conditional on a successful home inspection. This could help you avoid repair costs.
