Every homeowner should have a basic tool kit, with the essentials for easy Do-it-yourself, decorating, and simple home repairs. Keep in mind, tools will last a long time, so buy quality.
Here’s my basic list of the essentials:
- Portable tool box (to hold everything)
- Hammer
- 25 ft, at least, tape measure
- Screwdriver (one with a number of bits)
- Needle nose pliers
- Level
- Utility knife
- Painters tape
- Flashlight
- Pencil
- Carpet dots
- Wood glue
- Crazy glue
- Picture hanger kit
- Assortment of nails and screws
- Goo Gone (I’ve recently added this to my list, but this stuff is great!! Especially for getting off price sticker residue)
