A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Hey There!! Let me start by introducing myself: I’m Meetu. And let me say that I’m thrilled you’re here!! My goal is to combine a scoop of home decor inspiration, a smidge of homeowner tips, and a handful of cooking, to create a well-rounded recipe for a simple lifestyle blog.

So, here goes… I was born in Toronto, but basically grew up in Oakville, so I’m Canadian (if anyone outside of Canada asks haha); but I’m also Punjabi (if anyone inside Canada wanted to know haha). I currently live in Oakville with my 2 energetic, yet very cuddly, boys and my techy, car-loving, Gujju husband.

I work as a real estate broker, but I have worn many other hats in my career. I worked in the home fashion industry for over 20 years: as a decor and design consultant, a stager, a salesperson, a general manager, and a training and hiring manager. Needless to say, I have a lot of experience with homes, sales, staging and decor.

I am also a big foodie. I love to eat, honestly I will try anything; but I also love to cook, (and bake). Thankfully, my boys are big foodies as well. So we do a lot of fusion cooking, and experimenting with flavours.
